Your vette got totaled, buy used C1-5 or new C-6?

Most likely I'd go for a early C3 (non-emissions) ,C4 (anything but crossfire) or C5. I'd take the money I saved from the C6 and do exactly whayt I'm doing to my current C3..."tweak it". New suspension (not needed on the C5, not much on C4 either), and then tweak the engine to make enough power that I can't ever use it all on the street.

Everything I'm reading says August for the C6. For me, I would have to get that triple black '65 fuelie I've always wanted. However, if I lived where I could use a Corvette for daily transportation all year around I'd do a 2 year lease on a new C6 then upgrade to a new Z06.

I like the looks of the C5 better, and so would get another one -- then mod it past the performance of the C6! And it would still cost less than a new C6!

Rain I love your Aqua C4! Great color.

Thanks - (only 357 made for 1996) and I know of two others down here on the Gulf Coast! hahaha

We enjoy it when we can get it out on the roads -

Since I work about a mile and a half from home, I would buy an older, very clean, but not show quality C2. I'd drive it for a year or so, sell it for what I paid - maybe more if I'm lucky, and buy a C6.

I am not going to say what I would buy because I do not want all of you $@bs driving the price up. I have never been able to love a current production Vette… the only new one I ever bought was the 82 and I did not buy it until Noviember when the dealer was tired of looking at it and knocked another $2K off of GM´s already reduced price. Maybe when the C6 is on the road I will worm up to the C5 but Thunder will still kick their butt to 150MPH.:D

The C6 doesn't appeal to me. It's a commercial product, it is simply not as passionatly build like for example the C1 up to C4's. It already has a target. It has no soul.

Only car I ever bought brand new was a '78 L82 SA. great car, but I'll never buy a brand new car again. I can't justify the depreciation factor and there are just too many great used Vettes out there. Currenty thinking about a 40th anniv. ZR-1. Or...maybe...a Callaway! :cool
