Does anyone know if 2002 Z06 rims will fit a 1987 Vette? I see there are adapters to put 17" 1988-96 rims on 1984-87 but will 18" rims fit?

some rubbing at 17"

My car rubs a bit, in the rear wells, high, inside during big 'dips' and front, just a hair, during full steer. This, with 315-35x17"s and lowered 1/2-3/4" all around.

These wheels and tires fill my wheel openings, so I cannot see how 18s would fit and not rub on MY car.

I have 18x9.5" Z06 rims on my 93. They do fit without a problem. You end up going to a smaller sidewall. I have 285/35/18's all around. As for fitment on your 87, if you get the Z06 rims for the 88-2003 Vettes, yes, you should use spacers. I believe AFS makes the Z06 rims with the correct backspacing for 84-87 Vettes. This way, you wouldn't need spacers.
