Just spied this oldie but goodie this afternoon. In a small rural Tennessee town in the parking lot of a tiny auto service garage, it is a 1957 Mercury Montclair, if my memory is still functional! Period correct in Sunset Orchid and white and equipped with fifties-fashionable fender skirts and continental kit. There were also full 'cruiser' skirts available on that car that must have weighed an extra ton! LOL!!

I truly do have high respect for the highway patrol, but I rather them stay in their building and eat their donuts and drink their coffee so I can speed past them on the highway!!!!! VRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!!!!

Florida Highway Patrol

FHP huh? I used to live in Tampa/Clearwater. I really hated getting pulled over by one of them. No matter what you are getting a ticket.

Where is this bridge at?
I think I have see this before?

Is it in Deleware or Virgina? Gosh it looks familiar!
Definitely seen it, or one just like it!

Great photos by the way!

I think it is the Sunshine Skyway bridge. OR it looks exactly like it.

I would bet the picture was taken with a long lens. The result is that it shortens the perspective and steepens the hill.

NO having driven over it and living in that area for a while it pratically goes straight up.

Hey Atlaccordguy!

Welcome to the photo thread!

Come on and add some photos when you get a chance!!!!! :)

Welcome aboard Atlaccordguy. Glad you're here.

These are super spy shots cause I didn't take them. I live very nearby a famous mountain road well known for it's 318 curves in an 11 mile stretch of road. It is Tennessee Highway 129 that leads to North Carolina and is affectionately known as, "The Dragon". Long a favorite of the hot cafe bikers, it has been embraced by Miata, Ferrari, Corvette and sports car clubs from a wide variety of makers. It has a tendency to become very unforgiving when not driven with caution and skill and has been very deadly over the years. I routinely check in on the hot bike websites to check out the latest news on the road and came upon these two shots of C6's negotiating the twisties on the Dragon and thought I'd share them in case you haven't viewed them already.

Wow, nice C6 Dragon pics!
Z_OH_6, you should come along the next time the southeast CAC bunch does a dragon run. That is a very fun stretch of road, as long as you don't get stuck behind a wheeled crane or hearse ;)

Cool shots, Z O 6!! I've driven the Dragon a few times and it a good place to have both eyes open and not be sleepy!! LOL!! The pics at the convenience store on the south (I think) end are awesome. "Car 64 where are you"??, takes the cake!! ;LOL

I'll check in on the SE CAC for the next 'run'. I've lots of miles on that stretch over the years. I've been driving it for the last 15 years, how long I've lived here. Haven't taken many drives on it with the Z06 though.

Damn! Nice shots Z_OH_6!!!!!!!
Roadfrog, BV, I didn't shoot the photos, just lifted them from a website dedicated to the Dragon. I guess the C6's are starting to appear, I saw a yellow convertible and silver coupe on I-75 last week, running in tandem.

Oh in that case, you suck!!!!! JK

But I COULD have taken them...if I were there when they came though. And IF I had my camera with me at the time. :L

Actually, now that you but it this way, I can't disagree with you. You definitely would given your high quality photos in the past!

As for Tonys Torch, may he drive his Z16 into the side of a mountain when he takes these photos of these C6's. I wouldn't wish any harm on Tony. Okay maybe a bruise and a broken arm will do. But that's it. :L
