I have a 2002 Electron Blue Z06 and have just noticed some flaking on my stock wheels. This is occuring near the C5 logo at the center. The "silver" color is flaking off exposing a whiter color. I am certain that these wheels are original. I have been using the Dupont wheel cleaning product to clean them, with no immediate adverse reaction. Any suggestions on what I should do? Can (should) I get these wheels chromed? The one thing I don't like about my Z06 is the dullness of the stock wheels.

I would take them to a rim repair shop. Even though the rims are not damaged, they carry that particular paint, so have them spray the wheels for you as needed. Good Luck.

I did buy the chomed rims for my 03'. You would be very happy with the way it looks. If you want, PM me your actual email address, and I'll send you some pics. of how they look.
