Question: zMax

Any views on using Z Max in the motor oil and or transmission?

I've never used an oil additive. Mobil 1 in the crankcase is all it gets. When the manual trans needs service I use Red Line oils as appropriate.

When my '92 LT1 reached 103,000 miles back in 2003, I decided to upgrade the horsepower. When the motor came apart, it looked like brand new inside and shows no measurable wear. That was 11 years of Mobil 1 and filter changes. With that sort of experience, I see no need for additives to the motor oil.

Thanks for your thoughts Tuna. I too am a mobil 1 user all syn.for me.
seen a ad for the zmax and just wondered if it any one used it, and if it made a difference.
