Hey everyone! Please give me some guidance with this asap, all my CORVETTE buddies. I recently bought some '03 ZO6 forged wheels that are one inch wider all the way around, and I'm not sure if I can mount stock C5 tires to these wheels. Is it unsafe, and / or will it look ridiculous?? I'd love to get some mileage out of the "run-craps"... so let me know if its realistic before I lug all this into America's Tire, and they laugh me out of there! Thanks in advance, and happy motoring!!!

Steve

I would suggest you buy Firestone Wideovals in Z06 sizes(non runflats) @ around 700 delivered from tire rack.

The runflats will not fit right on the wider Z06 rims. The rims will protrude outside the tire and it won't ride right. If I remember correctly I saw this on a 99FRC years ago...

It was not a good way to go.

Better to buy new tires...and the Firestone wide ovals are among the best priced recently.

Quite a few Z06 vette owners over at z06 vette.com have put these on and they report they are pleased with them expecially at their price.

HTH....

Thanks for all the help. I will get these tires (Firestone Wideovals) to properly accomodate these wheels. See you all on the road. Keep waving brothers and sisters!!

you can get the Z06 wheels in stock sizes and have the runflats thats what i have.
