Question: ZR-1 fuel tanks

thanx general ? do ZR-1 have a bladder in fuel tank ??? found a good buy on a 92 zr-1, owner said needs "new bladder in gas tank' THANX carl C1C3C5 LIFE IS SHORT ,,ENJOY THE RIDE!!!!!!

All C4s have a rubber liner or "bladder" attached to the fuel tank walls. If the tank needs a new bladder, chances are what the car really needs is a new fuel tank. Keep that in mind when you make an offer.

Additionally, it would be wise to determine exactly what the current owner means when he/she says it needs a new bladder. If the rubber in the tank has somehow deteriorated or disintegrated, you may need to consider problems with the fuel pumps if the rubber debris or fragments have gone into the pump pickup assembly.

"New Bladder" needed???

I'm with Hib on this. If the gas tank needs a new bladder, it probably needs a new tank.
Then again some mechanic may be blowing smoke at the owner hoping to make a few extra bucks. Get more information from the owner as to why they think the bladder needs to be replaced.

Also like Hib, if there's something amiss with the fuel tank, think about replacing the fuel pump, fuel filter, and maybe cleaning the injectors.

The C4 has just one tank. When you lift the fuel filler door, you're looking at the top of the fuel tank - basically.
