I was thinking about purchacing a ZR1 becouse of the value it will hold in the future but as a poll, If you had the money, would you buy a ZR1 or Z06?

I'm not convinced that the ZR1 is going to hold its value.
If I had the that kind of money...hmmm... I'd buy both.
I'm hoping they do come down in price like the Z06s so I can buy in 2-3 yrs.

If you are looking for the most value for your money, buy the Z06. Just like 99% of modern cars the ZR1 will depreciate and since current prices are over MSRP, you will be at high risk to lose a boatload of money. I owned a Z06 and thought it was a great car. My ZR1 is even better. In some ways the car may be the best dollar for dollar supercar on the market. But I have no expectations of it holding it's value. 2008 Porsche Twin Turbo's that sold for $140k a year ago are about $110k today. I don't expect the ZR1 to be much different.

At 1,000 plus units a year, it will be a long time before they become an "investment" or retain the original purchase price. There are just too many of them. Buy em' to drive em'.

WOW - What's to think about?
