I just discovered that I could modify my ZZ4 to a ZZ430 which has 430 hp and 430 lbs of torque by changing the heads on my ZZ4 to the fast burn heads and adding a hot cam and 1.6 rockers! Has anyone ever done this and is it the way to go?

You would lose some of that great low end torque the ZZ4 is known for.Your car might also want a new converter with more stall and a lower rear end gear to make it work.

I've kicked it around, but I'm not sure the cost of the heads & cam are worth the gains... (75hp, 25tq)
I'm thinking of changing up to the ZZ383 rather than the ZZ430. Undecided still....

I'd think if you already have the ZZ4, the upgrade to ZZ430 is cheaper, but if you'd be starting from-scratch, the ZZ383's higher TQ (449 ft/lb, I believe ) would be the best cluck-for-the-buck.
