I finally got to look at the Holley Carb. today for 15 minutes. There is a number on the carb, facing the front on the driver's side at the top. The number is : 3906631-DA and just below it is 3810 0946. This the Holley on the car, 1967 Convert. 327/350 hp, 4 spd & AC.
There is a second Holley that is in a Holley Box, it has the numbers in the same place and they are 3906631-DA and just below that is LIST 3810 984. It is in the box and looks to be ready for a rebuild.
The only other numbers that are visable are on the top of the carb, just inside the air cleaner ring/gasket surface and they both say the same number cast raised in them, it's GR 2747 B.
Any help in figuring out when these were manufactured, would one be better than the other, any clues???
Thanks for any knowledge or info how to proceed other than getting needle/seat and float, or a rebuild of the one in the box, are they the same item and parts are interchangeable/similar so the same parts could be ordered for both?
And can anyone recommend a carb rebuild place in SoCal that will not destroy either? I want it done right, enough gas fountains in the garage!
Thanks everyone for your help, again!
