First the good news. The car is going to a good home. :)

The bad news is that my health has finally forced the sale of one hell of a car.

It was also the most reliable car I've ever owned ... and as I learned here .... if you keep the battery charged .. that car does not owe me a dime. Did a fluid flush once and oil and possibly brakes ... never let me down.

Fellow that is the new owner .. well check ain't cashed yet but ... has been monitoring this forum and seems like a perfect match. He's a guy my age but spry and ..... a hell of an aircraft mech ... and I get a few hours in his Cessna 140 ... so it is a sweet deal for all.

Thanks to all of you here ... :beer

Even without the car you are always welcome here!! I had a car painted years ago and the guy doing the paint flew me home in his plane. That is an added bonus!!

I guess the time comes when you can't get in 'em anymore or a number of othe things but, you remain a part of the fraternity. Good luck!!!

Good to hear that you've found a good home for your Vette. I also hope your health situation works out.:)

I too, would also like to reiterate the fact that you don't need a Vette to be welcome here. Good friends are hard to find! :beer

All the best & don't be a stranger!

I'm real sorry your health isn't all the great, I'm getting ready to hit the 60 mark, and i have some real painful conditions, but I'll be damned if I'm giving up my Corvette. I bought one, my first, a 1959 in 1968 and enjoyed it right up till I got drafted, and I had no place to store her, so I sold it. But now I have my 2003 50th Anniversary Coupe and I have never had a bad day in her. Sometimes when I'm depressed and feeling low, I go out and just sit in her. I've added some mild 'Bling' and I listen to my Patsy Cline and Roy Orbison Cd's for awhile and sure enough I feel better.

I hope your back on your feet and god gives you new better health, good luck and may God bless you and your family. :w

I hope you get better and back in the cockpit soon! My best to you.

A car is just a car, your health is top priority....take it easy and do the right thing, there are plenty of cars available when your ready to get back in the saddle.

Chas
