went to 7/11 to get some bud and some camels. put the windows down when i left the house, left em down at 7/11. i get home and turn the C5 off and hit the window up button..driver's side goes up, passenger side doesn't...turn the key back on and same thing. reach over and hit the button on pass side and nothing...do this for several minutes with key on and nothing, door lock on pass side is also not working when using buttons on driver side (but do work on that side) wait a few and then start the car...works this time.
Loose connection? Switch going bad? Anybody ever noticed anything with your Corvettes like this?
When the window did go up, it sounded okay and went up like normal.

mine had a bad connection where the wires went thru the "acordian"

I'd have to agree with VetteX2, sounds like you have what seems to be a common problem.

I just had the exact same thing happen on my 04. Pulled the boot out and disconnected the connectors, cleaned them with a little WD and compressed air and put it back together. All is great now.

The connector can be reached from the boot, right, or does the door panel need to come off the inside?

I have been thinking that moisture or a loose connection was causing the problem, but haven't tore into it yet, but my plan was to get in there and check out the connectors when time allowed. thanks.

The accordion pulls out of the door jamb, you'll find the connectors just inside the jamb. I cleaned mine when I had this problem, but ended up having to take the door panel off to tap on the window motor to get it to work. I think I need to roll my window up and down more. ;)

Yes, the boot comes out of the door jamb (car side) very easily. There are two connectors tucked in there. Mine looked clean enough to me but I disconnected them both, gave them a shot of WD and blew them out with compressed air. I haven't had a problem since. I suppose it must have been a bad ground connection because neither the window or door lock would work unless I opened the door or rattled it around. I was about to take the door panel off but I didn't have to go there (yet). Good luck.
