1995 LT1, Metallic Purple
I've owned a 1995 Ruby/Purple Corvette since October 2009. It's my first car. So it has some scratches and the paint is old so it's peeling. I was told it's a 40th anniversary but after looking around the site I'm pretty sure I got duped.

It is a fun car but I've been using it as my daily driver and the interior is all bad looking now. I've decided to buy some other car for my daily and use my vette as a project car.

My name is Karl, I'm 21 and I like fast cars, and alcohol. But not together.

Karl, I guess you think that kind of language is alright.;shrug I fixed it for you

Welcome Aboard Karl. Your car appears to be Dark Purple Metallic. You can find lots of information about your car on the RPO list which should be on the under side of your console lid. This list shows all the options your car came with from the factory.

Yeah, Karl, you got duped, dude. If you had a 40th car, it would be a 93, but....a Dark Purple Metallic 95 is still pretty unusual. Only 1149 cars were built that way. The only paint that is more rare was Aqua (909) or the 96 Pac Car exterior which was DPM and white. My 95 is DPM, too.

Great idea. If you're looking for parts to fix-up the interior, check out Zip Products. I've got stuff from them for my 95. Recently I replaced my sunvisors which were both broken and I replaced the fuel pumps.

Welcome aboard Karl.

Whatever project you start on your Corvette I'm sure someone here has been there before and will have some good advise.

Tom

My compliments to Moderator "Toms01" for revisiting his earlier decision to moderate "The_Karl's" original post.

Once again, Karl, welcome to the Corvette Action Center. As a fellow Dark Purple Metallic owner, let me remind you....

It takes a real man to drive a purple car.:L
