Filled up with gas yesterday and couldn't leave the pump!

Moved the steering wheel just a bit before turning the key (apparently has the new lock plate installed, never locks). Immediately got a WAIT 10 SECONDS and then SERVICE COLUMN LOCK.

Had the car a year and put 13,000 miles on it with no column problems. Sounds like the column lock solenoid is energizing (don't remember hearing that before).

Like others, fuel shuts off above 1.5 MPH. Still at the gas station off to one side. Friend with a roll-back is bringing it to my house later.

Have ordered C5 Corvette Column Lock Simulator LMC5 from VETTENUTS.net. Supposed to lie to the BCM and not show either fault message and prevent fuel shut-off.

I'll post the results after I do the LMC5 install.

Your problem was most likely low battery voltage. The LMC5 will fix that.

Fixed

Installed the LMC5 wiring. AWESOME instructions with color photos.

Fixed it just as advertised.

Did you disconnect the CL relay? It is on 99-04 cars and you don't need it powered in the circuit now.

Yes. Disconnected the relay. All is well.
