Crank Pulley install questions??

Does the center bolt need to be removed for the pully to be removed?
 
Usually.Not sure if there are exceptions.

Thanks for the info. The pulleys were no problem to take off. About 1 hour total time.

BTW, I drove the car tonight with headlights on and at idle the alternator still read 13.8 volts. I didn't have the radio on, but that is way better then I expected.
 
Yeah what pulley did you install?

Vetteboy86 and I both installed the two piece pulley system from TPIS http://www.tpis.com/index.php?module=catalog_page&catalogPageNumber=7&catalogSubCategory=Pulley+Sets
Part number 100-351.

I have driven the car about a half a dozen times after the install and have not noticed anything lower then 13.5 volts on the gauge, so I have no issues with charging problems. Hope this helps.

Only thing the website has wrong is the use of the factory belt is NOT retained. I think we both had to go to an 80 inch belt.
