All my lights work except dash lights and outside marker lights.

Any ideas would help, all fuses are good, headights work, brake lights and reverse lights work, just no marker lamps and dash lights.

They were on and just went out.

Help please! iamfine2@comcast.net

I don't have the drawing for the running lights on here but here is the one for the dash lights

It sounds like a problem with the turn signal lever, since neither the lamps nor the dash lights come on.

Do the hazard lights work?

And welcome to the Corvette Action Center!!
You will find a TON of useful information and helpful people.
It has saved me a lot of time, trouble, and money.

GOOD LUCK!!!

The side marker lamps are on the same circuit as the tail lamps.
They are switched at the headlight switch in the parking light position.
The instrument lamps are also switched on in that position, but go through the dimmer pot on the switch shaft.
They have a different fuse than the headlights, and turn signals.
See this diagram for the fuse location at the top of the fuse block.

Thanks to Rare81 for the diagram.

It could be a bad headlight switch if all the fuses are reading good.

Marker lamps

Hazards do work.
I think I will pull the light switch and check it out.
The previous owner did a lot of wierd electrical things that I am cleaning up.

Hello,

I think I misunderstood your problem. When you said side marker lamps, i thought you meant your turn signals did not work.

When you said instrument light, it thought you mean the green arrows that flash when your turn signal is on.

If you meant the gauges do not light up at all when the headlights are on, then I would agree with wishuwerehere82 and say you might have a bad headlight switch.

If they used to work and stopped (which is how you described the problem) I would also look for a loose wire or bad ground connection.

Thank you all for your help, I found it!

With all your help I found 2 things, there is a fuse like silver item in the fuse block which I assume is some sort of breaker. I removed it and cleaned the contacts and replaced it.
The marker lamps came back on.
Then I found a fuse that was marked LPS, I replaced it and the dash lights came back on.
Thank you all!
Mike
