On the site, this sounds like a great show being held here at the Phoenician Resort in January. I though this would be a good show to take the Speedster to it, so I started registering on the site. I thought it was weird that, after submitting the registration, the site gave me no options to pay the fees, it simply jumped me directly to PayPal. I don't mind PayPal at all, but I expected to be given a choice of various payment methods, and not being asked seemed strange so I stopped.
On a hunch, I called the events group at the Phoenician, and they have no record of a car show being scheduled there for those dates. I dug around the show website and found a contact number that I called, and the guy I talked to didn't have much of an idea what was going on either. He didn't offer to follow up, just said that I should sign up for their mailing list to be notified - but he didn't really say what I would be notified of.
Has anybody dealt with this company on other shows before? Sounds like a scam, based on what I'm finding so far, but if it is real, it does sound like a cool show.
Thanks,
Jon
