teflon tape on the sensor threads, some other sealant or nothing at all?

I use a film of anti-seize so the sender can be removed later without extreme measures. Pipe threads are razor-sharp and seal by interference.

Nothing at all or anti seize, because the heat from the water changes the resistance in the sender which makes the temp guage work. PG.

Actually a pipe thread is tapered and that's why it seals. The threads themselves are no more sharp than any other thread that's cut with a die.

Also, follow the earlier-posted advice about dry or w. antiseize. Don't use teflon tape as if there's enough, it can act as an insulator or resistance.
