Hi All,

Just curious if anyone knows the weight of a dymag...boy I used to know this stuff off the top of my head, but I am going blank on this one. Just curious because shopping for new rims and want to keep the handling the same and adding a heavier rim will change things. Thanx again.

Not sure about older models but current Dymag's about 18 pounds.:)

There are a few extra oz's of magnesium om these however, I think you get the idea :eek

LIGHTWEIGHT , for sure!!!!!!!!!!! :upthumbs

Thanx guys...thats what I thought I remember about 10 pounds from way back when but wasnt sure...the problem I am struggling with is most of the rims I am looking at are 24-26 pounds and I am concerned it will make the car feel real heavy in the corners from what I am used too. Thanx again any insight on the extra weight of the rims as to what effect it will have would be great.

Best, Cliff

I suspect any larger wheels will be heavier. Even pretty light forged aluminum wheels will probably be ~19-20 lbs in a similar size.

Non forged, like you said, may be 25lbs or more.

To update the "look" without a weight penalty, have you considered the 2nd style of Dymag wheels they made for the C4?
