New username in the interest of simplicity!

I am not a new member, but I thought this would be the place to make this announcement.

My username has been officially changed from lt4man to "LT4man"!

This was done to make sure there was no mistaking the spelling. Depending on the font being used, some thought my name was it4man. Others thought the first letter was a capital "i".

The name does comes from the LT4 engine which graces the engine bay of my 1996 Collector Edition Coupe.

Hope this clears up any misunderstanding out there!

PS I never introduced myself when I joined this site. Feel free to give me a shout out!

Thank you to all of you! I appreciate all the kind words!

I am keeping track of my key fob. I am still looking for a replacement battery. In another thread I mentioned the battery had to be flat on the (+) side. Actually, the battery needs to have a very small lip on the (+) side. All the CR2450 & DR2450 batteries are flat. So, they will not clip into the fob. I will continue my quest to find a battery that will work. Then I will buy six (6) of them!!!

Welcome to the CAC LT4man, hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I used to know lt4man, but I doubt if we will see posts from him now. Of course, the previous lt4man gave us great advice and good tech info; hope you can continue in his tradition. I was wondering, do your T-shirts, etc, say LT4man or lt4man? Glad you cleared up the origin of the LT, I thought it meant lieutenant, it did to me before I became a Lt Cmdr. (It was so long ago that oarsmen were used for power; didn't care for the drummer, he used flank speed too much).

By the way, did you become a supporting member as the previous lt4man?

Don't buy 6 batteries as they will be drained by the time you get to the 6th one. I got a replacement at Radio Shaft and it works perfectly in both of my fobs. BTW, I re-read my owners manual about locking the fob in the car-and it does say that rocking the car will awaken the fob and it will unlock the car, but it also stated that this is not guaranteed. We all learn from experience. I only leave the fob in the car now when I am at home.
