I have a friend who has an 84 and has to replace a fog lamp bulb. All the mechanics in his town are puzzled and he's not puter savy to ask. So, does this year C4 involve taking off the front facia? Or is there a simpler trick to it? Thanks, I'll pass the info to him.

i just opened the hood and reached in..... it was the center most bulb .... had to stretch a little but seemed pretty easy to get to

just like hotshot said, on my 86 I had to reach in, it is not very easy to get at, but thats how you do it,
Tom

Wow! Hope he doesnt get it serviced anyplace in town! I can see a new owner not realising but a mechanic? Let me guess...$500 to change a bulb? It might be a bit tight in there but someone with small hands to to do it(wife, kid)

i was thinkin that, id stop goin to that garage myself:eyerole... not even as much small hands but long arms would be a plus... also remind him whe he does change the bulb make sure it is before he puts on the tire dressing... i made that mistake the other day big black ring from that wide open tire all over my new jeans

Changing a fog lamp is a snap compared to changing the rear outboard tail light/turn signal.

years ago one night on patrol i was in a real rotten mood (think it was during my divorce) so i went on a tear writing GARBAGE tickets plate lamps things like that.... all pains in the butt at the most, you have 24 hours to fix it and its gone... this one guy comes in with his wifes car to get the ticket fixed and hes got a real bad attitude... so im in a better mood and looking for a little forgiveness (my lt. made me do ALL the corrections for the tickets just for being a douchebag the night before) so i fill out his slip and ask him nicely what his problem is exactly.. he pops the trunk of his car ... i want to say it was a pontiac something... its in shambles he tells me if i can get his car back together he would be in a much better mood.. apparently getting to whatever bulb it was that was out requiered you to take all the molded carpeting and it just didnt want to go back together right... i actually sat there trying to help him get this crap lined back up right and no matter what it looked bad! im actually friends with the guy now and what makes it even funnier is hes actually an awesome mechanic and i always tease him about that stupid plate lamp!
