2008 Nav DVD Problem

Out driving my 2008 Pace Car and using nav system to get to destination - all of a sudden I notice on the nav screen there was an error that stated something like "UNABLE TO READ MAP" reinsert DVD or something to that effect - anyone else experience this problem???

I know when I took the DVD out it seemed quite warm to the touch - took several times of reinserting the DVD and then nav system seemed to work again for a short period of time and then got same error message

No problems with my '08 Nav system. Ditto the Nav system on my '06.
I have never taken the disk out except to put in an updated version so I have not noticed any heat issues.

Same as Tuna. I got my update disc(s) last fall, and replacing the original Nav-disc was the only time I ever needed to replace it. Both with the previous disc and the new one, I've never had any issues with heat affecting the disc's functionality.
