I have an 85 vette it won't charge at idle. I got another altenator that was pulled off of another car that was good. I get more voltage at higher rpm now but still no charge at idle. My idle speed is normal but still no charge. I have battery voltage to the altenator and regulator. Anyone have any suggestions? :hb

Yeah,Check and clean EVERY Ground under the hood on chassis and engine!!(Including the ones on the back of the engine block!!)

Also check the eyelet on the Big Red wire on the alternator where the eyelet connects to the wire, they sometimes get corroded in the crimp between wire and eyelet and need to be replaced!!(Pay particular attention, they may not look bad but have high resistance!!):thumb:thumb:thumb
