Very Cool! I wish I could find out who my car was sold to so I could get more of its history. I know it was stolen somewhere along its journey, and thats how I wound up buying it from a Boston Police officer. Unfortunately all I have is the dealer invoice, and no info on the buyer. Would the...
My car was originally sold here. I have a copy of the original dealer invoice which I got from a company that can access GM's Archives and find your copy by searching the VIN.
Ive tried to find information on the dealership, unfortunately as you probably know, they closed years ago. Its too...
Okay so once I pull the motor out of my car, I figure it will be a great time to really clean up and organize my engine bay. I figure it would be a good idea to also clean and paint the section of the frame exposed in the engine bay.
Im just looking for advice on good ways to go about doing...
Heres a question for you. My shroud is basically junk, so I will need a new one to get all the stock components operating properly. However, a new shroud cost somewhere around $400, so for that money would I be better off just buying the electric fan kit? Its about the same money, and will...
Yah, I was suprised about the chin spoiler/air dam. When I first got the car it was having overheating problems. Turned out it was because that was missing. Its amazing what a lack of proper air flow can do.
I know Im going to need a new shroud, mine current one is all cracked up...
Hmm interesting, that would be great...a lot less money Id need to be spending. A lot of people on here had been saying I would need to upgrade. So you guys think all of the stock cooling components would handle it?...cause I dont want to get it in and then have cooling issues haha.
Okay, so as I continue to make plans for my motor swap, Ive been making a list of everything I ANTICIPATE I will need for the project, along with prices.
Ive come to the point of my stock cooling system. I know this wont handle the job required to keep the new 383 cool, so I intend to start...
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
:puke:puke:hb:cry:cry:cry
Id still buy it!... and treat it right! Seriously....sell it to me haha.
BTW what the heck was that tow truck driver doing?....who puts a corvette on a hook? Especially that high! The front lip looked like it was...
But....a 21 year old son would be perfect right?!? I live in MA, but Ill relocate to TN :L. Its nice down there. I visited ruby falls once a while back. Anywho, congrats on your amazing car! You own a major landmark in Corvette history!
So is the 2004R a good transmission? I remember hearing it had a good amount of problems and wasnt a solid tranny...although, who knows if that source was reliable. Yah, I would like a 5spd but I really cant wait...with 3.70s and the TH350 I really cant go anywhere with the car. Plus, itd...
This is a good thread, I have the same concern with the stock drivetrain in my 1980 L82. Im planning on swapping in a 383 stroker...in particular a 383 from Blueprint engines that makes 405hp/440tq. I currently have the stock TH350, but will be replacing it with a built 700r4 because I need the...
Thanks for all your advice. Anybody else have any info on our stock differentials? I may call the place I bought my rebuilt 3.70 rearend from and see what they recommend for the setup Im going to want.
Thanks for your input. What is your 350 making for power? I agree, the rearend is my main concern, as I will build the tranny to with hold that amount of power. The older C3 differentials are a lot stronger right? Is there any way to swap one of those in?
Anybody on here have any experience with any of Blueprint engines motors? If youve seen my other threads Ive been planning a motor swap, and one that Ive been seriously considering is a 383 from blueprint. They seem to have a great reputation, and have some good looking motors. Also they offer a...
