    Rear hatch molding-left side

Used rear hatch molding-left side. I bought a new 3 piece set for my '93 40th Ruby Red and replaced all three pieces-two of which were broken. The last piece is in excellent condition and is original to the car.

40th Anniversary Replacement of 3 piece rear hatch moldings

Problem solved I used two needle nose pliers to pry the clips apart in order to fit over the strut endpiece. I found that you don't need to pry the clip completely off in order to get the strut off in the first place but just enough to allow the strut assembly to pop off the ball. The whole...

40th Anniversary Replacement of 3 piece rear hatch moldings

I can't figure out how to get the clips that fit over the ends of the pneumatic hatch tubes and secure them to the car back on. I used a screw driver to pry them off which you have to do in order to replace the side moldings. Is there a special tool that will spread them apart in order to fit...

40th Anniversary Headlight motor gear replacement

Problem fixed I had reassembled the unit wrong. A metal flange had been put on the wrong metal armature-it belongs on the armature that the pin goes through. When it was the unit operated perfectly. Thanks for your suggestions.

Passenger headlight would not flip open all the way. Looked on utube and saw ChrisFix video on headlight gear replacement. Ordered two new bronze gears and bushings from Mid America and did the replacement per the video-or at least I thought I did- until I put the unit back into the car and it...

Help! 93 40th Anniversary Ruby Red won't crank

Key issues resolved Our local mechanic referred us to a locksmith they use who came today and made all the keys-ignition, door, and gas cap. Turns out the VATS code supplied by Emerling the Chevy dealer was incorrect. They said it was a #2 but turned out, after the locksmith tried a number of...

Help! 93 40th Anniversary Ruby Red won't crank

Ignition key issue The dealer's(Emerling Chevrolet) parts man told me he got the VATS key code from a restricted dealer site. He told me it was a #2 key which is one of the lowest resistence level key values. I don't know myself if it is the car's correct code since I do not have access to...

Help! 93 40th Anniversary Ruby Red won't crank

Parked our 1993 40th Anniversary Ruby Red in our garage last Tuesday evening. Wednesday morning we could not find the keys: ignition, door, and gas as well as the fob. Have looked all over and no keys. Doors were locked and top off. Reached in car and pressed hatch button in center console and...
