Dennis,
First good luck with the new Hip. I know two guys who have replacement hips and both say "I should have done it sooner". They endured too much pain before giving in. Now they feel so much better they wish they had done it much sooner. 'Hope it is the same for you.
Now about the...
I would like to know what experience others have had with '96 C4 brakes. How many miles were driven on the original pads? Did you replace front and rear at the same time? When they were replaced were any new rotors needed? Calipers?
Background:
I have my '96 LT4 for sale. A prospective...

Thanks guys.
Thanks for the suggeations.
A search on "winter storage" turned up a lot more material, but your stuff hit the high spots. I had washed and waxed the outside and treated tires and interior leather already.
I called it a "trickle charger" but the one I have is voltage regulated...
I bought a 1997 last spring and sadly in Michigan it is time to park it. Other than puting a trickle charger on the battery, what do I need to do?
Is taking the weight off the tires a good idea?
How about seting it up on the frame so the weight is off the suspension also?
Is there a way to...
Shift knob removed!

thanks again JMCCloud
I got the shifter boot cover off. Your directions were right on except 1) there was also a screw under one of the cup holder rubber covers and 2) removing the console cover was not optional. A tab of the boot cover went under the console cover so you could not move it up...
The leather shifter boot in my '96 six-speed is loose at the console. It appears the fastening screws are still with the boot but the plastic they screwd into from below has broken off from the console cover. This is the center console cover around the shifter.
How do you take the the console...
Thanks
Thanks Rabbit and B17Crew.
I am convinced there are only for fittings to grease. Bummer the Haynes Manual not only has very little information in it, what's there can't be trusted!
Sounds like the '90 had grease fittings on the outer tie rod ends. Maybe they were replaced with sealed rod ends on later models? Does anyone know for sure?
On my '96 there are rubber boots over the ends of the steering rack and the inner tie rod ends, the outer tie rod ends (near the wheel) do...
