Sorry to hear this sad news
Guys it has been a long time since I was on the site. But when I got this news in my e-mail box I just had to respond:cry. May God bless you Bud.
Howdy Todd,
I too took pics with my cell phone. But the res is really poor.
I'll make that one of my "Things to Do" over the holidays and that is to get the pics from my camera. I think I took some up at Carlisle.
Thanks for the the help on the project:thumb. No way could I have done it by...
What he said. From the sounds of it the UAW is not willing to play. Even if it means taking the ship down.
Opps..what happened to the other post?

Shooter,
i'll have to dig around on my home computer and see if I have any high res photos. I think I took some after I got finished with the project that really brings out the chrome side pipes.

Great info guys.
I had considered selling mine once I got finished with the project. But after driving it with the new engine and tranny I'd consider selling the Z before the PC. Really cool car to drive and even cooler since the completion of the project:cool.

I was out in Indy for a conference this past November. Of course I had to take a tour of the Indy race track/museum and check out the cars. Much to my disappointment they didn’t have any of the Pace Cars on display. One of the ushers stated that the PCs were in a warehouse and they only bring...
Oh my Remo...how did I miss this. Here you go.

Loaded up heading for Carlisle.

I hear-ya;). I think I may have talked to you as I was doing my project.
The only external difference now are the chrome side pipes and a higher profile hood to hide the setup. Open the hood and you will see this setting under the hood:

May be to the vette purist.
I've actually had more $$ offered for mine then when it was stock. No one has offered what I want yet so I've still got her. I do still have the orginal motor (pickled) that is dire need of rebuild. I also have the orginal tranny.
Now I can enjoy driving the car...
I voted both...but not for both cars.
The '78 PC is for show...although with the new setup it would be a blast to take it to the strip to see what she would do.
The Z I have shown and have had it on the strip a couple of times.
I mostly like crusing. Pop the T-Tops on the '78, or rolling...
LOL. I figure the lure of beer would add the finial touch:-). I just hope no one reads what I'm doing to the PC and decide that I'm over the top.
Thanks for the vote......I'm sure the results will be posted.
Bill.....my favorite CAC friend.....my fellow Carlisle buddy....I need your HELP. I need for you to vote for my Pace Car. It would be way cool for a CAC member to be one of the winners of the contest for the Pace Cars. I've attached the link. Just click on it and follow the instructions. You...
Good read jswope. I am in the middle of R&R my engine and I too have the Performer RPM package.
I've do a lot of research on the Edelbrock carbs and you are right in that they don't like a lot of pressure...just plenty of fuel flow. So to feed the hungry horses I went with a Holly Blue elec...
It would work fine....but the new block doesn't have the punch-out in the block for a mech. fuel pump. The new engine is built on a VorTec block.
Thanks
