I suspected - since there is no great pressure behind it - other then when the cap opens to let an over-flow occur - which shouldn't happen all that frequently unless the OP has a cooling system problem - JB Weld should work to hold the pipe in place.

JB Weld would have worked. Also I have a question - is this a pressurized expansion tank, or an over-flow tank?

The method I described has been used by me to "lift" a document off another surface before. I will admit the document I lifted was not as brittle as the tank stickers all seem to be. But my methodology is sound. What might want to be tried before the laminate is laid over top of the sticker...

I would think if you took a sheet of clear laminate and worked it "over" the tank sticker, you should be able to remove the old brittle sticker intact. If you wrinkle the laminate of course that could make it difficult to read. But I think this would be the best way to lift the Tank sticker...

You are not out of luck if you can locate your build sheet throug another source - look over on the Corvetteforum.com under C3 and do a search for C3 - someone over there had a website where you could request your build sheet information. If that site has your build sheet info - you can fax it...

I've got a problem with my carberator choke not dropping off after warm-up. The darn thing idles around 1500rmp and then drops back to 1000rpm. I can manually go on to the passenger side and knock it off the step but as soon as I press the gas pedal is jumps back up to 1000rpm after warm up...
