Delco wires
AC Delco outlets still sell TVRS plug wire set #508N. It's pre-cut for small block Corvettes with ignition shielding, and it costs about $25 locally.
On any lowered '63-7 Corvette, you run the risk of breaking the fiberglass lip above your front tires when you hit a bump with the wheels turned. This I know for a fact.
My previous post on another forum
Starting around 1960, American began selling a 5-spoke wheel called the Torq-Thrust. The spoke crest of a Torq-Thrust wheel was straight all the way from the center to the rim. It did not clear disc brakes without a spacer. It was offered in both aluminum and...
Buy the TT II
Unfortunately, it isn't just a question of backspacing. Corvette disc brake clearance also depends on the shape of the spokes.
I don't think I can explain American "D" wheel designs any plainer than I did in my previous post on this subject. If you are waiting for American to...
I'm going by the NCRS Specifications Guide, my memory, and the photo on the auction page showing a charcoal colored trunk interior.
The NCRS Guide could be wrong or out of date. My memory is worthless as an information source. And certainly, the auction photo could be misleading for a zillion...
Original black paint? I dunno about that.
The darkest factory-offered shade I've seen on a '58 Corvette was "charcoal", a gray with high metallic content.
That looks like a nice car, though. Just maybe a little over-hyped with all the crap about matching numbers and 3000 miles.
Exactly what does he want?
A poster named "Roy A." asked a question similar to yours on the CorvetteForum a few weeks ago. This was my response:
"I don't know if he is looking for manufacturers of reproduction nozzles for a 1962 Rochester FI system, or if he wants to buy an original 1962...
When I've encountered truly frozen studs, the only way I've found to get them out is to use high heat.
If you heat the metal around the stud to cherry red, it will expand the size of the stud hole enough to free the stud. If you heat the stud directly, it will grow in diameter and become even...
Nobody's perfect.
The only two brands of carpet I've installed recently are ACC and Knoch. Back in the seventies and eighties there were other reproduction brands, but I don't think they're available now. I don't have the patience to order carpet from Romeo.
Both ACC and Knoch sell carpet...
Difficult to view.
Auctions like that are painful to even read. It has all the slimey weasel words and disclaimers in the world, but then goes on to promote the car as if it were perfect and rare.
AS-IS!
I'm just a car buff, not an inspector!
Nothing guaranteed!

Better brace yourself. Many of the folks who bid high and early on expensive cars are bored 14 year-olds on Mom's computer. Most of the rest are dreamers who need their wife's approval to take a leak.
