The radio is a $10 Chinese radio stuck in an expensive case. The dual cone speaker is a joke. How can you get stereo separation when the speakers are side by side? A rebuilt stock radio with an OE type speaker will give you the best bang for the buck.
Not being disrespectful, but I suggest you get a Chevy power book from the 70's and read the ignition section on how to set up a distributor. The distributor mods work very well on street cars that have had a cam change & head work. Not all Chevy engines came with vacuum advance.

If your distributor was converted to mechanical advance, then that's why the BB is there.
The person who did it was not "Bubba", he just wanted max acceleration & wasn't worried about mileage.
Leave it and search the carb for your stumble. If it's a Holley, then you could have a weak pump shot...
If the car won't crank & no fuel pumps, then your CCM/BCM is due for repair. Have you jump started your car? The "shop" probably did and that was bad for the CCM. 41 is a communication error between the CCM & ECM
