I went with the Firestones from TireRack and they flat blow the Goodyears away. I only got 18K on the Goodyears and I just passed 12K on the Firestones and I am very happy. They don't have the noise problem the Goodyears had they they handle better. Just some thought from a happy camper.
I really enjoy my XM. I rarely listen to anything but XM anymore. My wife enjoyed it so much that I bought a portable unit so she can listen in her car then bring in the house and plug it into a small boombox and listen in the house.
I agree with the previous post with the Subaru. I had and wrecked 97 Subaru Outback that was my foul weather car a couple weeks ago. It was a total loss. I went out last week and bought a very clean one owner 98 Subaru Outback with just 67k on the clock. I only take my Vettes out in the...
You really have to use the glued down. The peel and stick just won't last and that is not the commercial grade tile. It really is easy to glue it down. Divide the garage in to four quarters with chalk line then work on one quarter at a time starting from the center. Just smear the glue down...
I did the same. I used Armstrong commercial tile and did 1/4 of the garage at a time starting from the center. It has been down almost 4 years with no problems and the black and white checkerboard looks great.
These numbers have nothing to do with "numbers matching". If your vin# on the car doesn't match the vin# on your title you have more problems then concerning yourself with a numbers matching car. These numbers better always match or you have a heap of troubles. :ohnoes
I had a mechanic leave a rag, either rayon or nylon material, down on my ceramic coated Hookers. The first time out in the car it melted and left a big dark stain on my header. I was very upset and went to talk to him and he agreed to make it right if the stain remained. I ran the car a few...
Yes, mine is an 05 Z51. I got just over 18K miles on the original Goodyears. Time will tell but at this point I love the new Firestones. Hardly any road noise and a much nicer ride. I really have not had a chance to really push them hard but seem to handle as well, if not better, then the...
They recently went to $70 per wheel, so I did "get a break" at $60 if you can call it that. The local NTB quoted a price of $30 per wheel and really didn't want to do it. They were not very confident and said they only had one or two guys they would let do it at all. So I just bit the bullet...
I went to the Chevy dealer and the Covette mechanic is a friend of mine so I knew it would be done right. It cost $60 per wheel to mount and balance and had no issues. I considered going to the local NTB but they didn't seem very confident and I wanted it done right with no problems, so I paid...
Congrats. I can't believe that they put there name right on the back of your car. I hope you have no problems getting it off. And, I thought everyone had two Vettes.....NO??
I had my new Firestones put on the car last week. They have a much better ride and much less noise then the original Goodyears. The price is much cheaper then the Goodyears and highly reccomend them to anyone in the market for new runflats.
