I also went with the Optima red top on my C6 when the DELCO battery went dead. I purchased the battery online from: Remy Battery Co., Inc. www.remybattery.com 800-455-7400 They were very helpful in providing proper adapters that I needed for the installation.

Outside of the possible security issue, while my C6 is in my garage for a few days is it best to just leave the key fob in the car. Long periods of storage would be handled by a battery tender.
