Help! Removing C3 Headlight Housing / Assembly

Remove the hood also, as they h/l's are rather heavy, and pull them out that a ways, I consider removing the grills more PIA than it's worth, and I don't recall if they slide out that way or not....only been 15 years now...:upthumbs

    Just a quik steeroids question

The flex issues are quite real, and if you look at the driver's side mounting bracket you can see why.....I did my own install some 6+ years ago and it's been fine with about 30% of the steel these guys use....steeroids/VBP, in fact mine has less flex....and only two input universals.... some...

    Question: Oil Past PCV?

Hib is right, I have never seen a SBC valve cover PCV that did not suck oil to a certain extent, baffle or not.... meanwhile for decades the old Pontiac engines with the valve located in the lifter valley cover never sucked oil..... and when I put my LT1 intake on the L98 engine, I used the...

    points to HEI wires

Ask for a '75 BB vette set of wires....think that was the last year for the BB vette, but it was also the first for the cat ass trophic converters....so I may be rong on the BBlock.... anything with a breaker point dizzy is wired the opposite on the terminals...so will not work.... try for a...

    Tachometer cable

Do this the correct way, ditch your mechanical tach for a stock '75-77 tach and go electric with a HEI unit, and fix it right..... two types of mechanical tachs, those that are broken and those that will break soon.....you can sell your old mechanical components for a break even money...

    TPI- better mileage and power?

IF you have a '82 I can see sticking with a later model, say maybe a 88 up 700 tranny, otherwise to fit it into a earlier shark is a super PIA and expensive to boot....shorter drive shaft 100 bux, special/altered cross member...X bux, then we go for the rest of it...possible widen the...

    Dewitts aluminum radiator maintenance

Well water, city water, up north, here in Florida for some 50 years driving all sorts of cars.....just use enough glycol to do your min freeze temps which here in NE Florida is about a gallon and the rest water.... :upthumbs OH, edit....these cars are basically hotrods right out of the...

    Radiator Recommendations?

DeWitts make a decent enough product, but cheaper are available without loss of quality or capacity....but apparently they may not fit as well for a actual plug in/work system...so YMMV.... I do know that the Dual Spal fans cure most ANY overheating problem even with a marginal radiator...

    Dewitts aluminum radiator maintenance

OK, sorry, old car guy here, for decades with aluminum/iron/brass/copper and ethelyn glycol coolant there has never been an issue with any sacrificial anode type devices needed..... so all of a sudden, it's a 'hot topic'....methinks some one is reading too much... any NEW cars come with one...

    Dewitts aluminum radiator maintenance

IMO, a bunch of crap, i'ts NOT saltwater for coolant, it's not even mineral rich water, and when mixed with a gallon or so of 100% outta the can ethyl/glycol it's good as you can get.... too many boat theory guys....leaving it in saltwater for storage over long time spans..... :upthumbs

    TPI- better mileage and power?

15 years ago, having owned a '87 vette and loving the TPI performance but not loving the reliability, I sold the car and bought my Muncie 350 L48 '72 with 336 gears.....and so, as a stock car, it got 12-14 mpg and the Qjet was in decent tune....for a carb.... So put on a TPI system and with NO...

Question: Go LS or build what I've got?

I would think you can find a decent truck 4 bolt block and do a 383 to it, and aluminum heads, and even a LT1 modified induction for that kind of money, and like me, get 22.22222 mpg at 90 mph cruise....336 rear and 200 4r.... IF you can do your own wiring, DPFI is really not all that hard to...

Need an experts opinion...looking for more HP

Dunno I"d be doing a loose converter today what with gas at 4 bux....I would be going overdrive tranny the 200 4r is the simplest bolt in by far, and built right it's solid..... I went the whole engine route years ago, essentially today it is a ZZ4 with a LT1 manifold all modified up fitted...

    Need A/C help in Florida

GMJ, thank you very much for that post, NOW I figger out what I think is reasons why my system does a max air out at only 60f on recirc as I described....so to now know exactly how to turn that nut/screw in the POA and get it colder... you say too much oil is a problem....how can I tell...
