I look at my mileage as the equivalent of about 10% less than calculated because of the use of premium fuel which is roughly 10% more than 87 octane. Just keeps things in perspective.
Just my nickel's worth
If you are looking at convertibles then I would say definitely the price will go up as soon as the nice weather hits. It has been said that the best time to buy a car is the week between Christmas and New Year's, and as it has past, I'd have to agree that prices are inching upward.

I suppose everyone needs a rant now and then, but your question that started the thread was how much insurance is going to cost. You realize of course folks can only provide information about what they pay, and give you references about who to contact. None of us know your variables, driving...
Armor All is so last week and low tech!! Toss it and try Meguiar's Endurance brand of tire gel. Lasts long time, doesn't wash off in the rain, and won't turn your sidewalls brown.
Welcome to the CAC. I agree about getting your first Vette, 'tain't nothing like it!! Your Vette sounds like it is rightly built for Southern California. Nice color too, mine is white .....with a whole lot of yellow blended in!! :D

I agree w/others about STP, however, one product that a number of my car club acquaintences and other folks I am in contact with swear by is Lucas' Oil treatment. Lucas is made for both dino and synthetic oils. I use the Lucas dino in my old Mustang ('67, 289/88K) but mainly because the car...
68 and 81 are the correct color codes for the original paints for your car. Won't help much if it has been repainted, or if it is sunfaded. The codes are in my Cor-Vette Specs Book and I trust that to be correct.
ic..... jack should be just fine. I believe the Corvette has 6" ground clearance, You can verify that in your owner's manual. I have a couple of different floor jacks in my garage and each works w/o clearance problems. You'll see other posts in here where guys lift their car up using a...
At our Corvette Club Meeting last night we were told that beginning shortly, if not already in place, there is going to be a $5.00 charge for all tours, although now they will include the Caddy Line.
