    Refridgerant Low Pressure Port Location

All, I'm sorry if this question has been asked and answered already; however, I was unable to find it while searching the forum. I need to recharge my A/C system. I want to make sure that I know where the low pressure port is so that I put the r134a into the right place. Thanks in advance...

    Proximity Sensor constantly engaged

I have a 98 conv. and I am having some electical problems. I recently had to replace the battery in the keyfob transmitter, and ever since I've had annoying problems: 1. Regardless of the setting of the keyfob transmitter, the car automatically locks and unlocks every time I walk near the...

    C5 Automatic Shift Knob

I recently purchased a new shift knob and adapter kit from Zip-Corvette products. I followed the installation instructions; however, when the installation was complete, my ignition key would no longer come out of the ignition. The adapter comes with a spring. I assume that when the new knob...

    Key Stuck in the ignition

Got the key out Well, I removed the new shift knob, and the key came out immediately. I think the problem is that the spring that was sent with the adapter was too big. Has anyone else installed an aftermarket shift knob on a C5 Auto? I am going to post in another forum to try to get a...

    Key Stuck in the ignition

c4c5specialist, Thanks for the information. I am going to be de-installing the shift knob tonight to see if this is the problem. Unfortunately, when looking at the picture that you posted, I am not sure what I am looking at. Could you please provide me with a little commentary on what I am...

    Key Stuck in the ignition

All, Over the weekend I upgraded my 1998 A4 with a new shifter (I purchased the adapter from Zip-Corvette). The installation went fine, but after we completed it, I could not get the key out of the ignition. I can still turn the key to ACC-On and Start, and I can turn the key back far enough...

    1998 Vette engine difficulties

Last Night I went out around 7:30 Pm (itwas still around 90 degrees outside) and fired up my Vette for a quick trip to the store. I backed out of the garage headed for the store and got about 100 feet before all hell broke loose. The DIC started spewing out REDUCED ENGINE POWER then SERVICE...

    removable hardtop

I ran across the attached website for another company that offers aftermarket hardtops for C5s. I cannot endorse this company in any way other than to say that they answered my questions via email thoroughly and promptly. Good luck, and to anyone who has purchased one of these tops, let us...

    C5 Aftermarket Wheels

All, I just purchased a set of aftermarket wheels for my 98 vert. Some questions: 1. Can the tire monitoring sensors be moved from the old wheels to the new wheels? 2. How much should I expect to pay to have someone remount my tires and pressure sensors from my old wheels to the new wheels...

    1998 Convertible Leaks

I think that the problem is caused be a combination of the two factors; however, I think that the junction of the top and the top of the windshield contribute more than the driver's glass not mating fully. I hope this makes sense. Peter

    1998 Convertible Leaks

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to the group, but I wanted to make sure that my description is accurate. The primary source fo the leak is at the junction of the front of the top and the top of the pillar that holds the windshield. At that point water flows into the cockpit. Any...

    1998 Convertible Leaks

I own a 1998 Convertible that is a daily driver. In moderate to heavy rain, water flows inside the cockpit at an annoying rate. Does anyone else suffer from the same plight? Has anyone been able to successfully stop this problem? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Peter Kahn
