    starter problems

If you can "hear it making contact" in the battery compartment then there's an issue there. You shouldn't hear anything at that end and you should take care of this before moving on. Most likely cause would be either a loose or corroded battery connection. I would suggest you take both...

    1970 LTI 1 Oil Pan $$$

I bought one about a year ago from someone on one of the forums and paid around $100. It needed the usual straightening and paint - but it turned out great.

    LED Brakelights

Not at all - they are LED's, not "light bulbs"

    LED Brakelights

I have been running the "superbrights" for 3 years with no problems. I did have to use a HD flasher. The only "issue" is that the fiber optics are pretty dim because light from LED's doesn't diffuse to the sides. Can only really see them at night. Other than that, I really do like them.

Electrical Gurus Chime In - Mini Starter and HEI

No, you don't need the connection with the HEI. On the old starter, the "R" terminal went up to the stock coil to supply FULL 12V while cranking. WHen the starter solenoid disengages, the 12V is removed from the "R" terminal and the coil is then supplied by the RESISTOR wire. The HEI is...

    69 early or 69 late

You should do more research - there are MUCH better answers to your question. It not simply a matter of opinion - there are VERY distinct differences between "early" and "late" 69's. For one example, the wiper door "vacuum motor" is shaped like a coffee can on the "early" models and like two...
