    87 corvette bucks during idle

Ok guys its been a while and I have fixed many things since the first post. I had a head gasket leak blowing coolant out through exhaust and had that fixed. Since then when everything was put back together my mechanic asked if i noticed the transmission slipping. I said no and it was and has...

Rear brake noise at first press after start up

Just replaced the brake booster and it is all fixed. Looks like I had a leak right at the metal rod that hooks onto the brake arm and goes into the brake booster. Must have been a bad seal or something. Put in the new booster and no vacuum leak. Stops good now!

Rear brake noise at first press after start up

Speak of the devil! After hearing the noise thinking it was something wrong it was right! Now it just stopped on me and does not engage and the pedal stays hard and not very drivable. Also, not sure if I had not heard this before but now when I press the brake I hear vacuum air coming out down...

Help! Code 44 on 87 Vette

I have an 87 corvette and was sitting at a light, it started to buck and the check engine light came on. Came home and checked by jumping the ab at odb1 connector and got code 44. Does this mean I should try replacing the 02 sensor? If I replace it is there only 1 to replace at the Y pipe...

Rear brake noise at first press after start up

When I first start my car and let it warm up, I then put it in reverse to get it out of the driveway. When I hit the brake pedal at this point on street to put it in drive I get a noise which seems in the right rear wheel. Sounds like something with Antilock brakes or something. It sounds like...

Cruise control and A/c not working

I just went for a cruise around the neighborhood without checking anything and the cruise seems to work. Drove around and it kept at 30 mph. The only thing I noticed not working was acceleration on the cc switch. I push the accelerate switch with my finger and the car does not start to move...

Cruise control and A/c not working

Thanks for the advice! Funny thing is I have a 91 GTA that I just found last week and got it for $1000 bucks! Yes the 5.7 WS6. I had to run new vac lines and figure it out on this as well this morning! Good thing I just learned how to do it on the vette because this made it a lot easier after...

    87 corvette bucks during idle

I have had my 87 corvette for about 6 months now. I have noticed when on cold start up it races up around 9 to 1200 rpm until warms up then drops to about 600 rpm after approximately 30 seconds. Once warm and you start the engine again it races up again and will lower back down after about 10...

Cruise control and A/c not working

I believe I got it now. Air blowing hard now. After listening to you and looking at the diagram on the fan shroud, I made a direct line from top end of check valve directly to manifold rear vac plug which now gives vacuum to CC, tank and firewall. The old connection I had disconnected for that...

Cruise control and A/c not working

Ok from what you are saying I know there are two vac ports at back passenger side of plenum. Both vac runs in the picture go into a 2 into 1 splitter just right off the end of the picture behind the second intake runner which then goes to the front of eng to the air diverter solenoid and...

Cruise control and A/c not working

Cruise control not working and AC not blowing hard

Had my heads redid and just noticed my mechanic didn't put back together two vacuum lines. One, "looks" like it was disconnected from the fuel pressure regulator to the black plastic T next to the distributor which split the tube running from firewall to cruise control and vacuum tank at left...
