I have a radio from a 1970 vette that I am trying to bench test. I put 12.0 volts DC to the input and ground it properly. I have a 10 ohm original working speaker. I get twelve volts to go thru the radio and come out of the wire harness that feeds the convector/amplifier. I can also make the...
Will a radio out of a 1972 fit my 69 coupe. Bubba chopped out the bezel and went aftermarket. I have access to a 72 radio, part number 7937571. Possibly the only difference would be the knobs ? any input would be helpful. Thanx
My thoughts exactly on the transposed numbers. Thanks Midnight, its good to hear from law enforcement that I am good to go as long as tag and title match. Its just a Midwest daily driver L-46motor ,4 speed but its mine and don't want to lose it.lol
My thoughts exactly on the transposed numbers
My vin tag is not a GM original. Looks to me that it was re-issued thru the state of Ohio. That would explain the asterisk before the numbers and the difference in the spacing of the numbers. Still don't like it... but as long as the tag matches the title I will live with it. I am sure it will...
I am trying to confirm a vin number and need to lift the body to access the top of the frame by the #3 mount. is this very involved . any advice would be appreciated. The number at the # 4 rear body mount is not there due to a rear collision and bubba repair
production numbers on C3
Thanks for the info. I will try and get a decent pic posted. does appear the spacing between the numbers is larger than the images I have looked at online . possibly remade and done incorrectly or I have been taken by BUBBA. That 3953060 number was under the top cowl...
my title matches my vin number.............. BUT........ numbers have been inverted making it an impossible number since they did not produce 77 thousand corvettes in 69. The car series number 7 was flipped with the first production number 1. Is it possible a vin could have been stamped wrong...
vacuum lines
Thanks guys for the info. The port on my intake did take care of my vacuum issue . Headlighs and lift gate are happy again. The Vacuum lines for my headlights have always been on the carb but the holley had a much bigger port and more vacuum pull. That doesnt mean it was right, it...
I installed a new 1406 edelbrock and ran my distributor vacuum to the left port (passenger side of carb ) the pcv hose to the middle port and manifold vacuum to the right port.Car started perfectly but headlights and wiper gate not happy. No issues before with the holley set up. No leaks that i...
I have 12 volts at this switch and it is wired as a normally closed switch.this is confusing to me,I would think it should be normally open and held closed by the wiper door bracket arm.It is working in reverse right now.is this a matter of switching leads or is there a wiring problem somewhere...
I have worked out many leaks and faulty vacuum switch relays on my 69.BUT !!!!! my wipers come on faster than my lift gate can open. The wiper switch cuts vacuum to the lift gate as it should. But the wiper motor is too fast for the gate.Any adjustment or delay possible on the wiper motor. I only...
17,403 out of38,762 is this considered an early build or late ? looking for some info on my vacuum system and seems to me I need to know this due to some changes. Any thoughts would be appreciated
