The superram packages all rec. 58mm throttle bodys. I have one of LPE catalogs that confirms this from the late 90's.
Even their 350 LT1 package rec. a 58mm throttle body.

Its pretty much what it is.....58mm throttle body, super ram intake, procharger, hooker headers, and a chip ( i forget from who....i'll ask) and a 3.07 gear. Everything else is stock....im not sure on boost levels..i'll ask about that too.
Thanks for the compliment. Beach Bum has one of the quickest sr/383/afr combo's around and I think he was running the stock '85 computer. With your DFI, heads, and higher compression I dont see a problem hitting 370rwhp. The torque is gonna be killer though. You'll definetly run 11's w/o a problem.
Its not going to kill throttle response with a 58mm throttle body. LPE rec. that all of their super ram upgrades, even on a stock motor, use the 58mm throttle body. I can only imagine so because the plenum is so large. With that being said, i'de look at the Holley 58 mm throttle body over the...
well look at the bright side...at least you will be driving one very powerful 383 very soon. I've seen similar 383 s/r,74219/afr combo's put out ~360rwhp.
You should install that 74219 cam -2 degrees and it should make peak hp around 5600 rpms. Im going to say with your heads and higher...
you can always put a piece of cardboard or such under the car where the air enters the radiator area too keep the motor running warmer in the winter if you use a 160 stat. I personally like to see my coolant temp around 180 to 200 in the winter time and between 170 to 190 in the summer.
my 357 made 353 rwhp with a somewhat restrictive exhaust (2.5" non mandrel bent and bad cat's) now I have a 3" system with new cat's on the car. Hopefully i'll pick up another 10 hp or so.
My gear is way too high for my setup which is a 3.07 dana 36. I've never had the car at the 1/4 mile but...
One of my neighbors has a '88 vette auto with a superram and a procharger (believe the P600) with the air to air intercooler and a set of hooker headers.
That is one fast f'n car.

I could not agree more. My engine builder told me that if and when I run the 175hp shot of n2o my tune better be on the money because if it starts knocking then its gonna blow.
Sure will. I spin to 6300 rpms and make about 450hp (gotta get back on the dyno with the new exhaust to confirm it) without a problem. Plus my motor was built for n2o @ 175hp shot max.
So that equals about 625 flywheel hp. But I have never used n2o.....
Welcome to the "i've been screwed over by somebody who is allegedly reputable" club.
It happens to the best of us.
Glad you found out what is wrong with the car. Personally i'de ask your mechanic for a local engine builder who is reputable and go from there.
Good luck.
well I got the gas strut in. For the record I ordered a gas hood strut with the brackets from http://www.vette2vette.com for a great price. It was only $55 shipped to my house!!!
This is a used gas strut from a LT1 Corvette. It took some minor drilling on the mounting bracket but it works great...
