    63 Coupe Project - Update

Haven't had much time to spend on the Forums over the past few months or post the progress of our project. We finished the car by the skin of our teeth just in time to head out to the Detroit Autorama. We couldn't have made it without the help of our family and friends. It was an intesting trip...

    Carlisle and my punch list

Herb, That's a good back-up plan. One main reason we do these projects is because they should be fun and rushing can take the fun out of it quickly. One thing we promised ourselves on our current project was to take our time to enjoy it and not be forced by a deadline. Just one of those little...

    Carlisle and my punch list

Herb, When we were building our 62 finishing it in time for Carlisle was my goal. My punch list was a long one but I really wanted to be there. It took 16-18 hours every day for the last seven weeks and the car was finished at 2:30am the day we left for Carlisle. I'll never plan to do that...

    Lady Spells Success!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations :upthumbs I know how hard that can be especially if the fast idle doesn't set right or any one of a dozen little gremlins pop up unexpectedly. :eyerole No doubt it's one of the toughest NCRS awards to achieve. Rich Lagasse

Bob, Can't help on your question regarding Rich's but we've used two from Rock Valley which have worked well as another source. Rich Lagasse

    Hagerty...Who Knew...?????

No question that the inflation guard is just a step in the right direction. As I mentioned earlier it's still best to make sure that the agreed value reflects the full value on the car for the physical damage coverages and adjust that each year if necessary. As 65vettish mentioned an umbrella...

    Hagerty...Who Knew...?????

Larry, I'm not sure if all carriers do it but Grundy now has an inflation guard endorsement which increases the value by 4% at renewal time. That will help some to reflect the current value but it's still best to keep the agreed value at the full value for the car and check it each year...

    Hagerty...Who Knew...?????

Mark, We've used Grundy (Chubb is the underwriter as you've seen) for years. Chubb's financial rating is a plus as I always look for a company with at least an A- rating. We've had good service from them though (fortunately) no claims so I can't speak to that aspect. Besides the agreed value...

'63 SWC outer stainless rear window trim question

Try Paragon Reproductions as they often have used originals. You can sometimes also find them on e-Bay. Rich Lagasse

    Commercial Grade Vinyl Tile

We also used the Armstrong commercial grade tile. When we did that job the various epoxy coatings and tiles (such as Race Deck) available now weren't around then. It's been down now for thirteen years and has stood up to some pretty tough abuse in that time. In addition to preparing the...

John, The cluster looks super and is a great way to convert to new gauges. Great job in integrating the Dakota Digital indicator panel. Looks like it's always belonged there. :upthumbs Rich Lagasse

    Recommendations on SRIII

For a C2 I don't know of a frame I like better and I have nothing but good things to say from my experience. Mike Stockdale's SRIII frame is well designed, strong and his workmanship is top notch. He delivers what he says and when it is due. He's also been very helpful after the sale. Give him...

buffer motors.....where to get one at a good price?

Herb, Here are the three places I usually go to for buffers and supplies: http://www.eastwoodco.com/ http://www.tptools.com/ http://www.jlindustrial.com/ The information that Wayne has posted has also been my experience regarding size, speed and power. I have a Baldor 1.5 HP unit with 10"...
