Hurray , I am now an authorized AC dealer

Barry - swing through NJ with the box. I am sure between Mark, Joe and I - and a few others, we could give the contents a proper 'inspection'. Steve

Loose Glass in Rear View Mirror

Guys - thanks for the suggestions. It is a reproduction. I will try the squeeze method first. I can take out some frustration on it and then if not successful, move on to plan B. Steve

Loose Glass in Rear View Mirror

Ron - thnks for the reply. I always refer to that outside mirror as the side view mirror - my mistake. The mirror I am talking about is the one mounted inside the car between the sun visors. You know the one that gives me such a panoramatic view out the rear window of my coupe! Yeah right...

    What gives - no wave!

Barry - that's a good one. I think when they see me in my 66 they say 'what's that old fart doing with that great car?' Steve

    What gives - no wave!

Yeah Barry and Alan. I guess you are right. I started waving years ago when I had my first sports car (an MGA). Is being friendly not catching? By the way Barry, maybe that lady was trying to hit on you. She saw a good lookin' guy in a Vette (we all look better behind the wheel of a Vette)...

    What gives - no wave!

I was cruizin' in my Ram Air T/A yesterday behind a red C5. Along comes a blue C3 and - no wave! About 5 cars behind the C3 is a red Ram Air T/A. He about fell out the window waving to me. When I am in my C2 I wave to just about anybody that even looks like they might wave. You get some...

Loose Glass in Rear View Mirror

I had a buzzing rattle that was driving me crazy. I figured the side pipes must have made something loosen up. I finally figured out that the glass in the rear view mirror was vibrating at certain RPM ranges. Any body have a good fix? I hate to try to pinch the metal tighter for fear of...

No Mark, remove ALL the nuts

No, and the steaks were great - but, Kid served up some pretty good sandwiches when I was there. Steve

He does talk a bit. Great stories though.

No Mark, remove ALL the nuts

I know what you mean. I wasn't happy with the way the dip stick tube fit on the Turbo 400 so, the other night I pulled it. Took it over to a friends house who has a tubing bender and 'adjusted' it. No body could see it so who cares - me! Of course I then had to strip off the old paint and...

No Mark, remove ALL the nuts

Mark & Joe The phrase 'mountain out of a mole hill' comes to mind. But then again there's Dewey's '53 Studebaker. No overkill there either. Steve

The Project "BLOW" odyssey has begun!

Not the post office. It was on the TV show. Don't tell anyone where we are. Joe - looks like things are getting back together just in time for a spring run. As soon as the 15th is past I will get the rear window reinstalled and get my NASSAU blue beauty back on the road. Too long a winter...

    65 coupe w/backup lights

I am pretty sure they were standard in 66. I have them but, I am sure others with more knowledge will chime in about the 66. Steve

    Front springs

Let me know. I will come down and give you a hand, or we could do it at my shop with the lift. Your call. Steve

    Front springs

Joe - I have a set of front springs that lowered the front end on my 66 big block at least 1". I don't like the idea of cutting springs. In fact when we were running the Busch car, Nascar did not allow altering the springs in any way - they considered it a safety matter. You are welcome to...

The Project "BLOW" odyssey has begun!

Joe - call Dewey - he has all kinds of lathes, etc. right in his shop in Strathmere. If they don't work, he has a torch and a hammer, what else do you need for this type of intricate work. You saw what he can do - bug him - he loves it! Steve

    Coupe Rear Window Install

Thanks for the info John. Maybe that is the best way to go. Not too sure I like the idea of them hanging all over the rear of my recent paint job though. I will check with a local glass shop that I know of rather than the big national chain type. Thanks again. Steve
