Guys - thanks for the suggestions. It is a reproduction. I will try the squeeze method first. I can take out some frustration on it and then if not successful, move on to plan B.

Ron - thnks for the reply. I always refer to that outside mirror as the side view mirror - my mistake. The mirror I am talking about is the one mounted inside the car between the sun visors. You know the one that gives me such a panoramatic view out the rear window of my coupe! Yeah right...
Yeah Barry and Alan. I guess you are right. I started waving years ago when I had my first sports car (an MGA). Is being friendly not catching? By the way Barry, maybe that lady was trying to hit on you. She saw a good lookin' guy in a Vette (we all look better behind the wheel of a Vette)...
I was cruizin' in my Ram Air T/A yesterday behind a red C5. Along comes a blue C3 and - no wave! About 5 cars behind the C3 is a red Ram Air T/A. He about fell out the window waving to me. When I am in my C2 I wave to just about anybody that even looks like they might wave. You get some...
I had a buzzing rattle that was driving me crazy. I figured the side pipes must have made something loosen up. I finally figured out that the glass in the rear view mirror was vibrating at certain RPM ranges. Any body have a good fix? I hate to try to pinch the metal tighter for fear of...
I know what you mean. I wasn't happy with the way the dip stick tube fit on the Turbo 400 so, the other night I pulled it. Took it over to a friends house who has a tubing bender and 'adjusted' it. No body could see it so who cares - me! Of course I then had to strip off the old paint and...
Not the post office. It was on the TV show. Don't tell anyone where we are.
Joe - looks like things are getting back together just in time for a spring run. As soon as the 15th is past I will get the rear window reinstalled and get my NASSAU blue beauty back on the road. Too long a winter...
Joe - I have a set of front springs that lowered the front end on my 66 big block at least 1". I don't like the idea of cutting springs. In fact when we were running the Busch car, Nascar did not allow altering the springs in any way - they considered it a safety matter. You are welcome to...
Joe - call Dewey - he has all kinds of lathes, etc. right in his shop in Strathmere. If they don't work, he has a torch and a hammer, what else do you need for this type of intricate work. You saw what he can do - bug him - he loves it!

Thanks for the info John. Maybe that is the best way to go. Not too sure I like the idea of them hanging all over the rear of my recent paint job though. I will check with a local glass shop that I know of rather than the big national chain type. Thanks again.
