I guess mine is too new, because I'm chicken to wax the wheels right now. They look great!!!!
Anyway, if you decide to wax them, make sure there is no petroleoum products in the wax. I used Meguir's NXT on my C5 rims.
Yep, windex (or the similar) is good. In fact, when I picked mine up last week, the detail guy at the detailer told me to use windex and a soft cloth on the wheels.
Picked up my C5 on a sunny day, and wound up driving it home in downpours. It's seen rain a few times and did very well on the wet roauds.
Now I have the C6. Only had it for a couple days but no rain yet. I'm going to the shore tommorow and it's suppose to rain tommorow night and Sunday for my...
Crew, that engine compartment looks amazing, my friend!!!! Great job!!! Also, thanks for the tip on the Mothers polish. I always wanted to get the alternator cleaned up on my C5 but never thought of the Mothers. I'll try it on my C6.
Thanks again!!
It's Official
As of 4:03pm July 24th, 2007, I am the proud new owner of my dream car!!!! A 2007 Monterey Red/Cashmere convertibile!!! What a major difference over the C5 I traded.
I did very well with pricing. Paid a smidge over invoice. The sales manager found out my daughter goes to his...

I may be getting ahead of myself here, but I'm in the process of trying to seal a deal on an '07 Monterey Red/Cashmere vert. The dealer and I are pretty close with the figures and my 03 as a trade, it's just a matter of tweaking him right now. Which I hope to do this afternoon.
If this...

Darn!!! I always thought owning a good 'ol C6 vert someday would make me happy (..and it probably would, too!). But after seeing that vid, I want a ZO6!!!!
Hey Jim, think they'll give us a multiple purchase discount??? :L
A buddy of mine was at the local home improvement store and called me to let me know they had the PC orbital buffer/sander with variable speed for $70.00. I asked him to pick one up and he did.
I've noticed them in the catalogs for $230.00 bucks!!!!
Heck, that's a bargain if I never use it!!! :L
Ditto the above when I did mine. Just removed the black surrounds and installed bulbs. Took me about 30 minutes to all 4 bulbs. Small hands is definetly an asset when doing this job!!!
