Joe.. was last week the first time you have driven the car "ever" ? ....or just since you installed the new pump.
You should be able to hear the fan noise increase when the fan clutch is working...as when the temperature climbs for instance. ( without an increase in RPM...although it will...
Most likely is the fan clutch from your description....in fact almost for sure.
Changing the thermostat is a good idea even though it won't fix anything. Chances are it's getting old..newer is better, less likely to fail..

Man...it's just hard to beat the Cragars and white lettered tires on yours and Stephenwolf's cars...
They were what it was all about backin the day...Don't think I will ever tire of the look....
All of these cars are beautiful of course...the Cragars just send me back in time. Every car I...
...Yep...I bet you guys were stressed out ...just not enough time sometimes. A little break might be what the doctor ordered...to make it fun again....
Hope it will be as enjoyable to drive as it looks like it will be...Enjoy..

Aye...'tis sad and a 30K losss is true (probably even conservative.)
I've had three years to explore every avenue...(I think)...and these basket case hot rods just can't really justify anything else. Unless money is no issue at all ...and I know there are some that can dump 70-80K and even...

Ain't it so...heh heh! ( little more twang I reckon')
Yea...he's just getting his feet wet...I give him six months to be looking at LS drivetrains.

Also when was the first year Corvette offered factory air conditioning...?

I have some 3782461 heads..they have H195 on one and H215 on the other. I think that is the date code but I haven't tried to look them up. If it isn't perhaps you can tell me where to find the date code. I'll dig them out again and take a closer look (if you think this might be what you...
rgodwin....
Just to be real and save you lot of headaches...if you have to ask the question ...you already know the answer. These cars arn't similar to any steel bodied auto experience you've ever had. The expense is not imaginable...it will be easily 10 times anything you expect....time or...
Thanks guys...Got a call back yesterday, catalogue is on the way. Parts are 16 weeks out...
Having to consider that long a wait....Guess there's not much option.
Thanks again ...Stan
