I'm going to remove the gear box on the '95 ZR-1 and have gears installed. I will simply follow the service manual. Any tips etc would be appreciated. So far I plan to use a jack to decompress the rear trans. spring, loosen air duct, remove wire plug from wiper motor.
How about reassembly, do...
B&B Dyno results
I'm not about to type this list of results or just those of the B&B system since I would be here all night. They start at 2000rpm and go up to 7000rpm in increments of 250rpm giving Torgue & HP at each increment. E-mail Mark fowler at B&B and he will send you a copy or fax it...
I have a '95 ZR-1 with the Dana 44 stock gear set up. I would like to remove the differential gear case myself & bring it in for a professional set-up with 4:10's thereby saving some money, and taking a little pride in doing some of it myself.
According to the service manual it looks straight...
Berky2500, send me your e-mail address and I'll send you several pics of the ramp system. Bob synapsez51@yahoo.com
Thanks to all who have commented, I do plan to do the guestbook and change the background as well as reorganize things but I have to figure out just how to do it yet. Oh yes...
Mine has come on then cleared because of backing it out the garage to run it durring winter storage and then pulling it back into the garage repeatedly. This is normal, but dosen't seem to be froggy's problem
I loved the 4+3 in my '88 Z51 coupe, the only other choice was the automatic and I would never do that. Simple maintenance is the key to longevity. The previous owner and myself religiously changed the overdrive fluid every 15-20 ,ooo miles with new filter(~ $20.00 or less). You don't use the...
If your c4 is a ZR-1 you won't have any trouble getting collector ins. I pay $520.00/year for mine, with <4K miles OD.

Check out the new site and let me know your opinions. I still have more to do once I learn more of the tricks of building the web site. Does it download O.K? Too slow? Do the pics fully download? Suggestions? Thanks all...

My '88 Z51 started loosing power steering fluid as well as your symptoms. It ended up being the rack which went out. I replaced it with one from MAD or Ecklers and no problem sence. Had about 80K miles on it, other than that no problems with car yet.
I think the best choice is always the tested and proven manufacturers recommendations. Look at your service manual and follow that, you will never be sorry.
Welcome:m
I agree with #1-3 but if your Uncle dosen't have the service manuals to through in I would make that my first prioity, absolutely. i would then keep it as is for best value down the road. What color is it?

I would offer 6K considering the work and money ahead, well worth that and the owner probably would have a hard time selling off the parts, no sence offering him a good deal.
Bottom line: I have the 3" B&B TriFlo with Xpipe, best dynoed results, lots of resonnace that I can live with, I just love the sound.:m
