Convertible or Coupe - Which is best?

We opted for a coupe for the storage space. On a 16 day road trip, we had two large duffels, some other smaller bags and still had room to stow the top. If you're not going to be doing much travelling, get the vert. Either way, you'll have fun!

    High level Brake light

It first appeared in '86. I believe it was a federal mandate for safety. John

    35th Anniversary

Mine has 55,000 on it. It had 19,000 when I bought it. It would be intereseting to know how many are still left. I have seen several parted out on ebay and still others have been modified. One thing to tuck away in your memory bank is that the anniversary color is unique. It didn't even...

    35th Anniversary

I don't know about the pricing, but that doesn't sound too bad to me. You'll really enjoy the Anniversary car. There were only 2050 of them made and it is unique. I get a lot of nice comments with mine. Mine has never left me anywhere (Although I did limp home once with a failed alternator.)...

    Wow! that's rough

How old are your times? I noticed a big difference when I replaced my 13 year old original equipment tires. They were getting pretty hard.

Tire Pressure For 17 Inch Tires??????

I run mine about 30-32. I don't recall but I think the door sticker says 30.

    Winter Storage

I also give mine a fresh oil change so any accumulated gunk isn't sitting in there all winter and I run the tire pressure up to the maximum rating to help keep them from getting flat spots.

    Ford injectors

I didn't notice any seat-of-the-pants difference in performance, but it sure does start better with injectors that don't leak. The computer compensates for the extra flow by shortening the pulse duration to the injectors, so the engine is still getting the same amount of fuel.

    Ford injectors

Hi Edmond, I believe the stock injectors are 22#. I've been running the Ford 24# injectors for almost 3 years now with no problems.

    Intake Manifold Gasket

I did mine over a year ago and have had no problems. I didn't do the dimpling. I just made sure the surfaces were clean. My Fel-Pro gasket set didn't even come with end gaskets. Instead they included a small tube of RTV with instructions on how to use it.

    Grass in condenser

I had the same problem with mine. I used a soft brush and gently brushed in the direction of the fins (not across them). This worked pretty good to get the Cottonwood seeds out. Good luck. John

    Bent Wiper

I don't know if yours would be different than my '89, but on mine, the wiper arms slide onto a splined shaft. You need to remove a retaining clip and then you can lift the arm off the shaft and rotate it a bit so they won't colide anymore. I had to readjust mine in a motel parking lot in AZ...

    Odometer Shows more then Title

If it actually had 62,346 on 11/19/2002, it's quite possible that the current actual reading could be 80,756. Is it possible that the dispaly has a problem that is causing the 5 to light up in the sixth position?

    Looking at 86 cp.

Improvements were being made every year during this time. As suggested before, it would be a good idea to get a good book with descriptions for each year and decide what is important to you. I believe '86 added a body stiffner to the coupe and ABS. Good luck with your search. John

    I've made my decision

Hi Edmond, I know you've been thinking about this for awhile. Now that you've made the decision, I hope it goes smoothly for you and you find a nice new ride to enjoy. John

    Heat

Hi Fats, How hot does it get? These things tend to run pretty warm. Have you cleaned out the crud from between the radiators? I don't know of any Vette shops down this way. The only specialty shops I know of are in Blaine, Anoka, and another that is either in Golden Valley or St. Louis...

    Tune Up for a C4

Don't forget to replace the brake fluid also. When you get it running good, you also want to be able to stop.:L

    state farm Insurance

Just to offer another view. I've had State Farm for my houses and cars for many years. Any claim I've made has been paid promptly and to my full satisfaction with no hassle whatsoever. On my last auto claim, I had a check in hand that covered the full repairs 12 hours after the accident...
