BTW...one more question. I'll probably replace the cooler myself. Should I use some sealant on the threads of the Earl fitting? One guy I talked to said yes, use some teflon tape. Another said compression fitting like these don't need anything. I think I should use a pipe thread compound that...
I meant transposed. I don't think theyr'e cross threaded 'cause it doesn't look like they're leaking. I wouldn't think the direction flow would matter because pressure is pressure but I'm no engineer.

I might do just that. One thing that I thought of is that I paid a shop to replace the lines from the oil filter adapter to the cooler and they did a good job. No more leaks. Is it possible the lines were crossed when reconnected to the cooler? Would that break the cooler core--by making the...
It sounds weird to me too but in reality there's nowhere else for the oil to come from. The lines are dry and the surrounding area is dry. The cooler sticks out pretty much in front of everything else so I can't imagine the oil coming from any other place. Mike at Callaway says it sounds like...
I replaced all the turbo lines and got my clutch fixed so I finally took the TT out on a 500 mile shakeout. Everything was fine until I got home and put it back on the lift. The oil cooler radiator looks like it has been sprayed with road oil. It literally looks covered from head to toe...
I conversed with Mike Vendetto at Callaway and bought the same Centerforce clutch as before. He says there were changes to the clutch used in the later SNs but nothing new for mine. I had a shop install the clutch and change my oil lines out. The car is in its best mechanical shape since I...
That would be the same car. It ran crappy for a while before I changed the fuel pump. Where were you located up here? I'm sure I didn't see your car at any of the shows. There's another yellow B2K in Puyallup that I've never seen either. We coulda had 3 Callaways for 1 pic. You don't see that...
I'm replacing my oil lines and would like to keep my car as close to OEM as possible. Callaway only stocks the orange stuff and I would like to use black under the hood. Does anyone know a source for the black stuff?
Hey all! I've had clutch problems for the last several years and finally found somebody I trust to fix it. He pulled the tranny/clutch today and says the clutch needs replacing...again. I already replaced the hydraulics and he says that's working fine.
I'm ready to pull my hair out. This will...
The guy that was in charge of rounding up all the cars for recording emailed the info line at my Corvette Club and I responded. I hooked him up with at least 4 vettes and maybe a few more. You may remember...I think I hooked him up with you to try and get hold of the guy in Colorado that bought...
Hmmm...I didn't even think about documentation. It's probably a good idea to ask and see what I can get. As for compensation I get a copy of the PGR game and, supposedly, we all get listed in the credits.
I guess I can now talk about PGR3. I was under a NDA until the game was announced. You may remember my thread long ago about getting dyno'd on a different type dyno called a Dyna Pack. Anyway, the reason I was there in the first place was to get my '87 recorded by the maker of PGR3. My '87...
Is it what I think it is? Is that an Aerobody underneath that fugliness?

Here's the thread I found it in on CF.

My apologies to those that said the rub strip is notched. The pics I took indeed show the strip is notched slightly. I can only see it when I look at the photos. The notching is not deep enough to leave the emblem flush. It doesn't look inset at all, but obviously is. You can see the pics I took...
I think you're mistaken. The picture to me looks like the emblem is glued right on the rub strip so I checked my '87 to be sure. It is definitely glued to the top of the rub strip with no nothching. HTH.
I dragged against a friend's ZR-1 one time only. My first drag race on the strip ever and he is experienced. I had my bone stock '03 Z06 and he a '92 (I think) ZR-1 with Rippie top end job. I did the launch technique as described on Z06vette.com w/launch at 2,500 and feather the clutch, then hit...
