Ho Ho Ho
Hey there little fella...how about I come on over and detail your engine bay for you while we're at it. You know you need it and you know I can do it besides it's cheaper to buy me a plane ticket from Oz than to send one to JHL in Pommyland. :eyerole
I'll give you a call as soon as I...
Let me get back to you on what I've seen somehwere with a long type cooler that would fit under your existing radiator. It's from a hot rod design. Looks good and works well too.
Gotta stop sending messages after I've been to the club........I spend as much time correcting my messages as I do...
Bullitt... I read a suggestion for a trans cooler recently by someone who'd used this method while working for GM and was trialed on a fleet of taxis.
The cooler was placed in line between the trans and the radiator. The reason for this was twofold in it's application and it made sense to me...
AAA
Our version of your AAA is the NRMA.....National Roads and Motorists Association. My Vette is covered but only because my wife needed a car to be able to join...it's a long story.

No spare here
I plan on having a much larger aluminium tank made up for mine along with the roll bar for the cabin so the racing harnesses can fit as they were meant to.
With the extra capacity of a bigger fuel tank there is also the advantage of creating a lower centre of gravity during the...
Who is actually driving around without the spare tyre/wheel fitted to their Vette?
The one in my 77 is apparently the original that came with the car which virtually makes it useless as a replacement for any of the wheels on the car now. Aside from fact that I wouldn't trust it as a spare given...
rebuild or not
Sending the t/a's out to be rebuilt is not really an option over here ,same as finding a dummy axle to play with. Corvettes and their parts are not exactly thick on the ground here. I suppose there are places that could handle it, but I'm stubborn enough to want to attempt it...
I know you've all seen a trailing arm before, but I just wanted to get a reference shot of what it looks like now that it's just been removed and what it'll look like after I've given it the magic Brutus touch....Sharkman knows what that's like.:eyerole

Changing ratios
Chris...yep I have new Richmond 3.7s ready to go in as soon as the diff is out. The only thing that's going to slow me down is that the yolks look like they're shot. Far too much end play in them. I'll probably have to look around here to see if I can get them reconditioned...
Day 2...Trailing arms.
Well before I finished work on the first day I just had to see how hard it was going to be to get these t/a bolts out. So as with every other nut and bolt there I sprayed them liberally with Penetrene....btw I get this stuff free from work.
After letting this soak in for...
I took advantage of some inclemment weather here to get stuck into rebuilding the entire rear end of my 77.
Day 1... Sway bar off...had only just put it in for last week's show and was pleased with the difference in the way the car felt and drove.
Exhausts and mufflers removed from just behind...
Thanks Keith.
I browsed through Chis' amazing array of pics covering the resurrection of his car. He definitely seems to know his way around a Vette and a resin pot.
Does anyone know of any fibreglassing info that's available on line?
More particularly mould making or anything to do with automotive applications etc.
You can never have too much knowledge tho I'll never be accused of that. :confused
Go for it.
If you're posting this for an answer on which is better performance wise then I'm sure the differences are negligable, but if you're after the noise/sound that only a gear drive or a blower can give, then go for it!
I have one sitting here ready to go into my 77 as soon as I get the...
As well as that you might want to check the in-line vacuum filter.
It might have collapsed and blocked the line. Check that one of the lines isn't pinched either as that will cause problems.
To do away with all of the above just replace all the rubber vacuum lines with stainless steel tubing...
used not new
t78....everything I've painted or had chromed has all been the original gear. It's been more satisfying having old parts come up better than new than just buying new bits, plus I can be satisfied that I did it all myself.
Got some more pics coming very soon too. I think you'll like...
