I just got my Falken ZE512 tires in the shop today and I have to say Im impressed! They are VERY pretty on both the tread and the sidewall. I gotta get my SLOW wheel company to get me back my refinished rims to go try them out though!
Anyone have or knows anyone with these tires? As far as...
If I keep it REAL easy on the highway I'll get 28 and If Im slightly downhill with the right wind I actually got 32.
Well I did Abbotsford BC (Vancouver area) to Calgary on 1 1/2 tank. (12 hour drive)
Yep..
When installing repro stripping (most GM) you have to install the strip DRY get it to where you want by pulling and pushing then once your satisfied pull back the stripping in small portions using actual WEATHERSTRIP adhesive (yellow gooey stuff from 3M is what I use) then press. The...
I have had the rod out before when I was doing the wood grain dash thing..
All I did was pull.
The end of the rod you'll see has a groove cut in it that a retainer clip slips into (In the switch). Its just a matter of wiggling and pulling.
Great time to switch it over to distilled and good ol' green and to stop wondering about some crappy liquid wrecking thousands of dollars worth of parts.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news there bud...
The foam is usually from parts either from the torque converter or the bands gettting shook up. It "stirs" up the fluid or its getting air from outside (possible crack/leak) and thats what your getting on your stick.
Thats the norm but go to...
I kicked it up a notch on my wifes truck LOL
I hooked up my RobinAir recycler/recharger to the truck and pulled out about a half a pound. So its not leaking TO bad Im thinking and can pbly get away with just a recharge.
So I pulled out her freeon then vaccumed to 30 inches of mercury then...
I don't think that alarm stops the car from running....
I KNOW mine doesn't (perhaps the last owner disconnected the feature) but if I was betting I would say thats an aftermarket alarm on that car.
First it should not be going off on its own. It'll only go off when the door is unlocked and...
Well it seems I would dig into the battery. Pull the neg lead off and bridge a test light between the pole and the cable. If it lights up major you've got a drain. (you can test the light by opening the door). Even better use a mutimeter to determine exact voltage, If that checks out your...
When I do the "full meal deal" conversion I like to pull everything apart throughly clean it out with a quick dry cleaner.
Then I replace the drier. The sponges in there are nearly impossible to "flush" out and you really are better off replacing it.
Then I yank the compressor and clean it...
Im looking at going with the analog option but Im going to go with a tighter fit than that. I think with 5" speedo and 5" tach on the ends with 4 small gauges in the middle. I think leaving the center dash control box open (closed with plastic) for some other gauges....like boost? Heh.
I was...
Im sorry but I had to say something! GM has seriously got to revue this decision. I don't want to be the tribal hate leader but I know how much we love our car and Im sure everyone else is the same! I could just imagine everyone coming to the forum a year from now starting new threads...
Well we are looking at picking a C6 up for the 06-07 model. So far SHE likes the red but I want a change so I like the Sunset Orange with cashmere interior and a convertable please
One more thing I just left that Imcool site and I can't even type Im laughing so hard!!
I mean the last time I heard that many excuses....well nevermind! LOL
This picture is what I see on 80% of the Dex systems I see...
Must be that darn contamination on my BRAND NEW CAR!....
Or shoot...
Well I work on these Dexcool systems ALL day long 6 days a week and you know what GM can take that orange $%^ and do you know what with it.
This is my opinion and anyone can take it or leave it but I will NEVER install this "product" in one of my cars.
I get car in with less than 40'000...
Im removing all four of my rims this week to have them redone with new rubber.
Pbly going to cost 200 each (CND) new ones were 350-3500 each depending on what you want. So Im going to redo mine.
Mine is painted red as well.
It's FINE you can do it however I hope you trust your body shop thats all it actually does take a bit of work especially for the first time.
You'll have to sand it then paint but with the earlier C4 thin molding its hard to get into the groove up and down. Also...
Just got mine a week and half ago and installed them by popping the seat out.
Couple things that steamed me...
They gave me covers for the powerbuttons in seat and mine doesn't have that even though I ordered them without...whatever..
And the straps they use are junk..They are made from...
