    My wipers have become self-aware.

Much like skynet realising that doing whatever it wants is cool, my wipers have decided to adopt a similar frame of mind. They keep going despite my toggle commands to stop. My windshield spray also continues on it's own until the tank is empty so i had no choice but to disconnect it. I had to...

    Battery problem... security system?

My battery (redtop) died on me overnight. There is no way parasitic loss could have drained my batteries over night. I have not changed any of the DIC settings in the last few weeks so that is not the culprit. I put my battery charger on a 6a 12 volt recharge and it shows it as charged. The...

    Z06 BRAKE ROTORS

From what i've read the stock brakes stop you from 60mph in about 105 feet and i dont know why you would need something that is more prone to damage for a negligible performance increase. The drilled rotors do look good but thats about all.

    Is This The C7 Corvette?

I thought XLR right away. Looks fine for a 2012 XLR but not for a Vette. The Vette has always had curves none of this hard angle stuff were starting to see. Ill keep my Z.

News: "Drive Your Corvette to Work Day"

Hmm.. maybe i should have said that you can't have one car that is both. :gap

News: "Drive Your Corvette to Work Day"

I take mine to work at least once a week. I work in a somewhat dumpy area of town but i havent had any problems so far. I take the scenic route along the Ottawa river to avoid the highway congestion and i love getting up in the morning knowing that I'll have a great ride to work and back.. and...

What tires should I get for my Z06?

The Wide Ovals might not be the best tires but lots of people like them and they are far cheaper and apparently not as noisy. I have not experienced them myself but from the positive reviews people give them, they will be going on my car when my GYs are worn out.

How to tell if numbers match

No need to apologise for sounding philosophical. I knew that you had to have a good reason for selling the car because people usually won't sell their Vettes unless they really have to. I'd much rather have a roof than a car. I just wondered if you had considered keeping it and I wasn't aware of...

How to tell if numbers match

I know you said you absolutely needed to sell this... but would it hurt to keep it around for the 10-year old who might want it later on? :D Just thought i'd ask... i'm sure anyone would be greatful to have a Vette as their first car ;)

C5 roll call! Start of a wave..

Hello from Ottawa Ontario, getting ready for the muggy summer ahead, hopefully we can be spared this time around. I'm looking for the Canadian Flag smiley.... :D

    Question: lowered C5's

Yea its probably a good call on the front bushings, they are so tough to get to i wont even bother to try getting in there with a knife. Ill drop the rear a bit more, and that will be it. It's not worth going so low and having to buy new suspension. Thanks for the feedback. :upthumbs

    Question: lowered C5's

I hear that a set of hardware store bolts are just as good as anything else. I think ill look there first before paying $40 :ohnoes Ill keep that extra cash to buy a few litres of gas haha. In any case... i'm not sure ill lower the car much more for fear of straining the stock shocks. I think...

    Question: lowered C5's

I just lowered my Vette a few days ago on stock bolts but i find i'm still not getting the desired effect, at least in the rear. I left 2 threads showing on the rear bolts, would it be unhealthy for the car if i left no threads showing? I was going to realign but i figured if i have to...

    Water/Gas Hybrids

It seems this would function kind of like a nitrous system, with a tank stored somewhere in the vehicle. I have read though that this gas is volatile and that it does pose a danger, although probably just as much of a danger as the propane tanks we use on our BBQs. Probably just something else...

    C4 advantages over C5?

The Digidash :upthumbs Seriously... ive never seen a cooler feature on any car.

    Who's Moving On To A C6?

Up here were getting in a lot of US 07s for around 45k and that is dirt cheap for Vettes. I dont know if i could get rid of my car.. to me the C5 Z06 is far more distinctive than the C6. The only thing as someone mentioned is that you just cant get that top off, which is the only downside. I'd...

    Qiuck HP gain?

Might also want to look into headers if you plan on a X-pipe, because i believe the X-pipe requires some welding to install? Better get the whole system because its useless to get better tubes if your headers can't match the volume the rest of the system is capable of.

Question: Living with it every day

I think that most if not all of Vette owners never regret their decision to go ahead and buy the car. I just told myself it's now or in 30 years when i retire.. i chose now and I have not regretted my choice. Given your situation i think you should go for it, you'll be amazed at the difference...

    A CORVETTE NIGHTMARE

Not only does the poor guy have to get new wheels, he also has to have that thing towed which i assume is not easy without wheels. Petty theft... its :mad to look at those pics.
