    Question: One more question TIRES

Both Continental and Bridgestone offers all season speed rated tires,in C7 sizes. Tire Rack offers the new Michelin Corvette size all season now for the front, and the rears will be available on August 5th. I've had three sets of Bridgestones on my C6s, and they were great performing tires that...

Video: C6 Corvette ZR1 vs Buick Grand National

The GN has the aero of a brick. That's especially bad in a half mile race where the speeds make aero really count. I'd guess a C6 Z06 could beat the GN too.

    Just bought my first Vette!

You know you can get any brand of aftermarket exhaust installed free at Carlisle, don't you? Same goes for new wheels. The many hundred private sellers will probably have sets of used wheels too. See you there.

Question: 1967 Corvette Stingray factory built small block car built with big block hood

For better or worse, I remember clearly when putting brand new big block hoods on brand new small block cars was a cottage industry. I have a friend who was in the used, but nearly new Vette business. He installed many dozens hoods on slightly used and brand new dealer stock small blocks. He...

    2017 Grand Sport purchasing question

Supplier discount vs reduced price vs both???? You will never know until you strap it on and start getting firm prices from several dealers. Contact most of the "Big 8" Corvette dealers, or, at least several, and get their best deal. You will soon know who is in the business of giving good...

    Autoblog on the "Zora"

Call me crazy, but I'm not convinced the mid-engine Corvette is the next Corvette. The rumor is strong, yes. And, contrary to some of the comments on our site, Car and Driver - leader of the mid-engine Corvette speculation brigade - has a pretty good record predicting future models. But it's...

GM Press Release: CORVETTE RACING AT WATKINS GLEN: Full Focus on Sunday’s Six Hours

I suspect IMSA had a rebellion on their hands. Maybe Corvette and the German brands threatened to park their cars.:D

News: Dealer oil changes, MOBIL 1 vs. Dexos for base Stingrays

The PIP is pretty clear. Some dealers are doing the changes on request, up to 4. Technically, the PIP is correct, but some dealers actually go beyond to make the customer satisfied. Changing by DIC. or annually, should be more than enough for street driving. More than that is garage queen...

GM Press Release: CORVETTE RACING AT WATKINS GLEN: Strategy, Execution Rule the Day

They are celebrating fourth place in GTLM, and with good reason. Pretty messed up.

GM Press Release: CORVETTE RACING AT WATKINS GLEN: Full Focus on Sunday’s Six Hours

They didn't have to change the BOP. It was pretty much where they wanted it, with Ford and Ferarri out front. I know they have to balance SOMETHING to have a show, but I wish they would balance horsepower and safety only. If HP is roughly even, then design, engineering and driving are the...

GM Press Release: CORVETTE RACING AT WATKINS GLEN: Full Focus on Sunday’s Six Hours

I believe IMSA is ensuring the this will be the year of Ford vs Ferrari, and the BOP will be used to make certain that will happen. If another brand looks like it will ruin the 50th anniversary recreation of the epic 1964 battle, that brand will be BOPed. So, I won't be watching or attending...

Why is the 2017 M7 on constraint?

It's a fairly new transmission, with brand new applications. I'd guess it's a supplier constraint since it is essentially the same transmission (Tremec TR6070) as used by the Camaro and V Cadillacs. Who knows how many Tremec can produce?

Have the 2016s stopped projection and when do the 2017s start to get built?

Most dealers absolutely know how the game is played, but want to string you along until they manage to get an allocation. Dealers are a lot of things, but mostly not stupid. Some will play dumb, but that's just a way to keep you involved. That's why the Corvette mega-dealers have come into...

Have the 2016s stopped projection and when do the 2017s start to get built?

If your dealer doesn't have an allocation, he can't tell you anything for sure. Your order is only a piece of paper at this point. Go to a dealer that can actually order you a car. The actual production and delivery depends on a lot of things: factory scheduling of the options you want and...
